About the Founders
Cross-cultural encounter
Yu Ming and Thierry met in a Japanese restaurant in Fucheng in 2023.
Yu Ming is fascinated by French style. As a student of business and French, she hopes to experience French life in person one day, and Brittany has made her dream come true.
Thierry is from France. He was a scholar of linguistics and cross-cultural relations, the grandson of a cider producer, and a cider lover. This is his seventh visit to Taiwan. Since the winter of 2016, he has fallen deeply in love with Formosa.
Now, Yu Ming and Thierry have created the Péninsule brand together.
As both are coastal regions, we believe that Brittany and Taiwan have a deep affinity. Péninsule builds a connection between the two places, integrating the high-quality products of Brittany with the culture, food and lifestyle of Taiwan, allowing the customs of the two places to meet.
